Rethinking Infidelity
Infidelity is one of the biggest challenges that a couple can face. Depending on the cultural, family, and religious messages we've gotten about monogamy, marriage, and commitment, we may see it as a dealbreaker, inevitable in a long-term relationship, or something in between. I love this TedTalk by acclaimed couples therapist Esther Perel, because she talks about the possibility that can arise out of infidelity to create an even more satisfying and fulfilling relationship. Not every couple chooses to try to heal from infidelity, and the path is not easy. But for those who choose to rebuild, there is potential for a new relationship, with more trust, intimacy, and passion than before. Want to know more about affair recovery?
