EFT Supervision

Are you always striving to improve your skills as a therapist and/or supervisor?

Get the support you deserve! Supervision and consultation with Nancy Brittain, LCSW, is an affirming and collaborative process.

Being a therapist is a hard job. I believe that it can also be deeply rewarding and joyful. I love supporting therapists on their journey as they learn and practice EFT. The EFT model calls on therapists to have a strong mastery of a range of clinical skills, as well as a deep understanding of its conceptual framework. It also calls us to bring our full selves as people with our own histories, identities, and wounds. It’s not for the faint of heart, but the rewards of the journey are significant.

I support both therapists and Supervisors-in-Training using the model of EFT Supervision originally developed by Marlene Best, Dr. Lisa Palmer-Olsen, and George Faller and later expanded by myself and a group of other supervisors and trainers, looking at your work and experience through the ACES framework:

  • Alliance. The foundation of any therapeutic relationship. We’ll look at concrete ways of evaluating alliance with clients.

  • Conceptual. Together we’ll expand your theoretical understanding of the EFT model and identify any gaps in knowledge.

  • Experiential. Expect to practice together. Our model is experientially and effective supervision is too - I’ll model language, role play with you, and help you to move beyond the theory to practice that actually shifts your stuck spots with clients.

  • Self-of-Therapist. While supervision is not therapy, inevitably our own human-ness gets touched in our work with clients. We will gently explore how your history and identity comes alive in your work with clients, contributing to both strengths and blocks in your work.

I provide both group, individual, and dyadic supervision. Please fill out this form and indicate an interest in supervision / consultation specifically and I will get back to you. I look forward to witnessing and supporting your growth as a therapist and / or supervisor!
